British and Its Accents

Hi guys! Long time I was not giving you any single post for long time! But today I am writing you the kinds of the British dialects. You know that the dialect is a color of the voice. You know what we can understand and know the people origin form their language dialects and also accent . I believe that every language has its own dialect for sure. So, talking about English, this language has so many dialects also accent pronounced in all over the world. So, this post would discuss about English British dialects.

English British dialects would show British people origin and also the social status. I’ve observed at some videos on Youtube of kinds of the dialects of English British and it is totally different in the intonation, speaking, and pronunciation. But, I do really love to listen Posh accent or it is called heightened RP (received pronunciation).

Let me tell you the first impressions when I listen to Posh British accent, I feel like I listen to the real British voice like the one who is the natural resident from England centuries ago. Yet, there are other accents of the English like Scottish, Welsh, Wales, Ireland, Glasgow, Birmingham and many others. For example the pronunciation of the alphabets of /t/, /h/, /l/ for Scottish or the rural accents would be different. Like the Scottish would say I don’t know with AY DINNAE KEN. This is pretty colorful.

Guys, remember that dialects and accents are two different things. Accent is like the pronunciation of the words and dialect is like the specific words understood by the people in community. So, British English have both  accents and dialects in every parts of the island.!
